  • Western Maryland Railway in N Scale  - Lee Weldon's version of our favorite railroad.  Lots of pictures, "how to" features and some railroad history too.
  • Paul Backenstose's WM Railway - Paul's layout started as an HO scale version of John Armstrong’s Pennsylvania Railroad, Schuylkill Division from the book John Armstrong wrote on Creative Layout Design.  Dissatisfaction, in the interest of brevity, led to a conversion to the Western Maryland Ry. in early 2006.
  • Western Maryland Railway Historical Society - Group dedicated to the history and preservation of WM information.  Benefits of membership include the quarterly Blue Mountain Express magazine, the Speedletter newsletter, an annual pictorial calendar, first choice on custom model car projects and discounts on most Museum Store purchases.  Headquarters and a museum are at the former WM office building in Union Bridge, Maryland.
  • The Alphabet Route -  The Alphabet Route was an agreement between a group of railroads that formed a route to link the Midwest and the Northeast in order to compete with the likes of the Pennsylvania and New York Central railroads.  The website showcases the railroads of the Alphabet Route.  There's  information about rolling stock for modelers, maps, track charts, time tables and other pertinent information.
